On December 1, 2009 , the Salt Lake City Council joined
Mayor Becker along with the Utah AIDS Foundation and the People with AIDS
Coalition of Utah on the west steps of the City & County Building for a
special World AIDS Day recognition at 6 pm. Following at 7:00 pm
during the formal portion of the Council meeting, a joint resolution by
Mayor Becker and the Salt Lake City Council recognizing December 1, 2009 as
World AIDS Day was adopted by the City Council.
