December Volunteer Opportunities Abound in Salt Lake City
SALT LAKE CITY – There are numerous opportunities to reach out to the less fortunate in our community during the holiday season. Drives for food, warm clothing and gifts can really make the difference for families facing challenges. Also, one of the best ways to get involved in City government is through joining on of the many boards and commissions. These bodies play a crucial role in creating and implementing public policy. See link below for current openings.

Unless otherwise noted, RSVP for all projects to Savannah Wake, Volunteer Coordinator, at or 801-535-6202.

Boards and Commissions
Residents from Districts 1 and 2 needed
All community members are invited to serve on one of the City's many boards and commissions, providing a vital link between constituents and City government.  Currently we are in need of more representation from Districts 1 and 2.  If you reside within these areas, please consider submitting an application.  More information can be found by clicking here.
Ongoing through December

Fall Leaf Raking
All community members encouraged to participate and help their neighbors in need.
Fall leaves, if not picked up, can create a variety of troublesome issues including clogged storm drains, localized flooding, and reduced oxygen in waterways. Raking and properly disposing of fallen leaves keeps our neighborhoods tidy and helps protect the environment. Place all gathered leaves in your tan can. Need another? Request a leaves only bin by calling 801-535-6999.
