CPR Training Registration
The Salt Lake City Fire Department provides CPR
training once a month.
Heart attack, drowning, electric shock, and other
problems may cause a person’s heart to stop pumping
blood. Studies show that effective
CPR RIGHT AWAY
improves survival from cardiac arrest.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
You never know when you might need to use the CPR
skills you learn from this course for someone you
know or even one of your loved ones.
February, April, June, August, October, and December
the Heart Saver CPR with AED course will be taught.
With this course you will learn CPR basics. You will
have a chance to practice many times including use
of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
January, March, May, July, September, and November
the CPR for Health Care Provider Course will be
taught. This course satisfies most insurance
requirements, as well as certification requirements
for Health Care Providers.
At the completion of the course you will keep your
student manual, receive a personal protective
barrier device to be used if you ever need to
perform CPR, and you will receive a certification
card good for two years. The certification is
through American Heart Association.
These courses are provided at the Salt Lake City Fire
Department training center located at 1600 South
Industrial Rd. cost of the course is $45.00 (note
that is an all inclusive cost some CPR classes quote
a lower cost and then require you to purchase
certain items). The course last approximately 4 to 5
hours.

Every call to 911 is assigned a priority that requires an EMT or Paramedic response.
