New Performing Arts Center Financing

The Council discussed financing for the New Performing Arts Center project, including City and/or Redevelopment Agency bonds and tax increments. The Council will hold a public hearing on this topic on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.

What Happened at the April 2, Salt Lake City Council Meeting?

Athletic Field Fees

The Council held a discussion about and adopted changes to the city’s athletic field fee regulations and concession permit fees. The changes will go into effect once the ordinance is posted (about two weeks).

  • Field Fees are now as follows:

    • Youth organizations – Non-profit – $2/hour

Athletic Field Fees and Reservations

The Council accepted public comment from more than a dozen members of the community about proposed changes to field fees and the reservation process. The Council formed a subcommittee that will research this topic and present to the full Council at a future Work Session before taking action.
